= The "Adventurers NPCs" plugin = Adventurer's NPCs attempts to flesh out the Morrowind game world some more by adding a wide variety of new NPCs, both peaceful and aggressive. NOTE: This plugin may be used independently from the "Adventurer's Mod". SUMMARY - New Imperial guards and knights. - Some NPCs and outside guards "go home" at night, or rather they disappear. So walking the streets of town at night is much different than the daytime. - Leveled healing potions for new NPCs. Higher level NPCs have more potions, and as you increase in level the potions are more, umm, potent. - Leveled loot on NPCs. - You may wonder how these added characters affect framerate. To test (I run Morrowind on an XP 2000+ MHz, 512MB RAM and GeForce 3) I added about 30 NPCs to the outside of Vivec, on the bridge. My framerates remained constant, until I attacked them all with huge fireballs, BOOM! Heehee.... so apparently an attacking NPC uses up more CPU power. That's the extent of my use of the scientific method. But under normal conditions the added NPCs shouldn't be a problem. Consider yourself warned. FEATURES PLANNED - Add more NPC types - Add new crowd sounds - Add more conversation, unique personalities |
